The MBS (Mind Body & Soul) are asking the community to volunteer a few hours a week or month to help support people who are suffering from HIV/AIDS. This deadly disease can affect or infect any one of us at any time. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE HOMOSEXUAL / GAY TO CATCH IT.
There are many people living in the African / Caribbean community alone and suffering in silence with this virus, and all they need is a little support from their brothers and sisters in the community, for example visiting them at the hospital or home, or may be paying their bills if they're not up to going out that day and just spending some time with them reassuring them they are not alone. You will receive up-to-date training with travel expenses and meals paid. You will also learn about the HIV/AIDS virus how it affects the body and how it can be prevented.
Let us not be ignorant to the issues that are facing the world, in this time of turmoil the people will need to turn to someone for help — let us be the light-house to show them GOD cares.
